Decompiler
From YoYoGames Wiki
Decompiling is the act of reverse engineering an executable, or other compiled code into higher-level (normally human readable) source code. The term is also often applied to the reverse engineering non-compiled code such as that found in Game Maker executables and libraries.
Game Maker and decompiling
Various issues have arisen involving decompilers and Game Maker. Yoyo Games firmly enforces the Game Maker EULA, which states that decompiling games is in violation of the license agreement. However, despite their attempts, Game Maker decompiling programs still exist. Legal action has been taken against the makers of these programs several times.
