Mark Overmars

Mark Overmars is a full professor at the Institute of Information and Computing Sciences at Utrecht University. Here he heads the Center for Geometry, Imaging and Virtual Environments, that offers education and performs research in areas such as virtual environments, geometric algorithms, advanced graphics, multimedia, and geographic information systems.
Game Maker was not written as part of work but started as a hobby project. It is used however in his courses on game design.
